Amazon Will Add 100,000 US Jobs Over 18 Months

Amazon plans to add 100,000 new full-time jobs in the United States over the next 18 months. With those hires, the eCommerce company's already massive US workforce will grow to 280,000. It announced the 56% increase in positions on Thursday.
Some of the jobs are associated with upcoming warehouses in Texas, California, Florida, and New Jersey that were already announced.
Amazon's growth in recent years is represented by its workforce figures. The company only had 30,000 US employees in 2011.
It says the new positions will cover a wide range of education and experience levels.
