The latest version of Spotify for macOS includes support for the Touch Bar that was introduced with the most recent MacBook Pro. Controls for the music streaming service will now appear on the Touch Bar. Options for search, shuffle, repeat, play, pause, skip, and volume are available.
Other apps, such as Photoshop, have introduced their own Touch Bar controls in recent weeks.
To encourage the development and use of Touch Bar-based features, Apple is highlighting apps that support the component in the Mac App Store.
This update also adds support for the auto-pause gesture offered by Apple's AirPods.
