Sony is coming out with a new pair of high-end wireless headphones for its PS4 console. The newly introduced Platinum Wireless Headset supports 7.1 virtual surround sound and offers noise cancelling. It'll be out on January 17.
The platinum edition comes with 3D audio technology, like what's offered by the PlayStation VR, allowing you to receive the same kind of immersive experience from the PS4. 3D audio will eventually be supported in games like Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Days Gone.
Sony says even non-3D audio games will sound better due to the headset offering an enhanced version of 7.1 virtual surround sound.
