According to new rumours, Galaxy S8 will drop physical home button and capacitative keys in favor of 3D Touch-like soft keys. It is not the first time we hear about the removal of the physical home button and capacitative keys, but now we have more details about it.
The keys would be on-screen and due to 3D Touch-like display, they would feature pressure-sensitive capabilities for extended navigation or gesture control. There is also a possibility of creating customizable navigation keys.
He also added, or should we say reaffirmed that the fingerprint scanner will find its place on the back of the phone, but the exact position is still not known.
Soft keys may be be configurable/customizable, as well. Removing the capacitive keys / home button will give the S8 a very tiny bottom bezel
