Back in August 2016, Mozilla Firefox dropped support for several Apple OS X versions, but unlike Google Chrome, the browser still supports Windows XP and Vista. But not for very long, as the company announced today that they will continue to support Firefox for Windows XP and Windows Vista until September 2017.
Depending on the user numbers, Mozilla will announce a final support end date for the two operating systems sometime in mid-2017. Expect to see regular Firefox security patches for XP and Vista users for at least nine more months, but then either switch to newer OS or risk having possible security breaches and other issues.
