Lucid Motors Using Mobileye Tech For First Autonomous Vehicle

The first autonomous vehicle from Lucid Motors, a luxury auto maker in California, will use technology from Mobileye. Its car, the Lucid Air, is using Mobileye's camera, radar, and lidar sensors. It'll also utilize some software from the company.
Like with the latest Tesla vehicles, every Lucid Air will ship with the sensors required for a fully self-driving system. However, buyers will initially be limited to having a Tesla Autopilot-like driver assistance feature.
Mobileye's suite of automated driving technologies represent key elements in the development of automated driving systems in the Lucid Air. We are striving to take a leading position in safety and intuitive usability. We look forward to working with Mobileye on important aspects of achieving these goals.- Peter Rawlinson, Lucid Motors
Functionality will be added to the car every few months. Lucid Motors will use data from its growing number of active vehicles to improve its autonomous driving capabilities.
