AirPods Supplier Increasing Production To Meet Demand

To handle the high demand for Apple's AirPods, the company's supply chain is adjusting. Economic Daily News (China) reports Inventec, which is manufacturing the AirPods, is increasing production capacity at some locations in Shanghai.
The report claims the plants are "working overtime" to make sure orders are delivered as fast as possible.
Within hours of the AirPods going up for sale on December 13 their ship date slipped to over six weeks. Apple CEO Tim Cook recently described the wireless earbuds as "a runaway success," but no sales numbers were provided.
Ship dates have declined for some customers.
