Google’s now has an AIY kit that includes a Raspberry Pi

Google has unveiled a whole new kit that lets players make their own smart home speaker or an object-recognizing smart camera. Essentially, the DIY kit, which Google calls AIY (since it involves artificial intelligence) lets you create versions of the Google Home speakers or the Google Clips camera. The kit includes accessories, software and a Raspberry Pi.
With the new versions of these kits, you get a Raspberry Pi Zero in the box.
Since it launches last year, the tech giant notes that they’ve seen “continued demand for the kits, especially from the STEM audience where parents and teachers alike have found the products to be great tools for the classroom."
Writing on the company's blog, Billy Rutledge, Google's Director of AIY Projects commented, "The changing nature of work in the future means students may have jobs that haven't yet been imagined, and we know that computer science skills, like analytical thinking and creative problem solving, will be crucial."
With the new versions of these kits, you get a Raspberry Pi Zero in the box, alongside a preloaded SD card that helps you get things started. There’s also a companion app for Android, iOS, and Chrome now. The app allows users to setup wireless connections and configures the DIY smart speaker or camera. You will also get a Pi Camera Module V2 if you buy the Vision Kit.
With the new versions of these kits, you also get a preloaded SD card that helps you get things started.
The company has two separate kits, called the AIY Vision Kit and the AIY Voice Kit, that was first spotted by 9to5Google. They are meant for makers who want to try their hand at these relatively new product categories. Essentially, Google’s project makes AI more accessible to everyone, making it simpler to create products.
