Google has been criticised by the global Christian community for "snubbing Easter for 18 years in a row", Fox News reported. According to U.S. cable and satellite television news channel, the tech major has failed to come out with Google Doodle since the year 2000 to commemorate the Christian festival celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. "Google has no doodle to celebrate Easter, and Christians are angry on this holy day," Fox News said.
The last time the Search engine giant celebrated Easter was on April 23, 2000, with two candy eggs for the os in Google. Social media was swamped with Google’s alleged blatant biased stance. Yorkshire, England-based journalist and editor-at-large at an American online publication InfoWars tweeted, ”So Google has a doodle for every obscure ‘woke’ person/event imaginable, but nothing for Easter? #EasterSunday”.

According to the report, Google celebrated April Fool’s Day — by inserting a “Where’s Waldo?” game but totally ignored the events revered by the world's 2.4 billion Christians. Thousands of Christians expressed their disbelief over Google's approach towards the Christian community. Leading internet activist Jack Posobiec tweeted to his 300,000 followers: 'Happy Easter to everyone except Google today'.
The backlash from the Christian community, therefore, isn't surprising as Google has created Doodles for other religious events such as the Hindu festival "Holi", Jewish "holiday of love" - Tu B'Av and many more. One of the many that vented their anger was David Burke who tweeted, "Google finds it in its wisdom to create Doodles for obscure Artists’ birthdays & “official” days on the Calendar that most of us have never heard of. But they “forget” to recognize Easter for 18 years ... a holiday celebrated by 81% of American adults."

Prominent celebrities also condemned the tech major for being 'anti-Christian, including Hollywood actor James Woods, who took to social media and tweeted, "They loathe Christians. Pure and simple." Thousands of others searched for Google's Easter doodle but were disappointed not to find any. Paul Revere wrote, "I'm digging the Easter Google Doodle today hbu".
Phaedra replied to Revere's tweet, "Google hasn't done an Easter doodle in 18 years LOL". So did Stefan Molyneux by saying, " Google snubbed Easter with no doodle for the 18th year in a row, Christians say.".

There are some who have said that it isn't a secret anymore that the Mount View, California-based software behemoth was "anti-christian". QAnon+++ wrote, "It's no secret the tech giants are working in tandem with NeverTrump, Anti-American & Anti-Christian Liberals And they make it very clear Example -- Google would like to say Happy Easter with the following Google Doodle:".
Google reacted to Fox News report saying, “We don’t have Doodles for religious holidays, in line with our current Doodle guidelines. Doodles may appear for some non-religious celebrations that have grown out of religious holidays, such as Valentine’s Day, Holi’s Festival of Colors, Tu B’Av and the December holiday period, but we don’t include religious imagery or symbolism as part of these.”
