Gmail’s redesign is finally official

Google is finally making the redesign of Gmail’s web version official. “Gmail’s new look helps you get more done. Click on attachments—like photos—without opening or scrolling through large conversations, use the new snooze button to put off emails that you just can’t get right now or easily access other apps you use often, like Google Calendar, Tasks (now available on Android and iOS) and Keep,” the company wrote in a blog post.
With the update, Gmail users will now be able to snooze emails on the desktop. They will also get the Confidential Mode, that allows two-factor authentication to be added to emails. Most of Gmail’s new features are better suited to enterprise and business users, through personal Gmail users may also find them to be useful.
The rollout is being made on a global level, but it will be phased. That means you may not see it just yet, but Google is unlikely to take too long. Gmail currently has 1.4 billion users so this update will have quite the consequences. You can learn about all the new features the company added from its blog post here.
