It was only a matter of time before we heard about HTC’s next flagship. There have been leaks about the same, but now we have a first look at it. The leak comes from Venture Beat’s Evan Blass so you can trust it too. Thanks to him, we have our first look at the smartphone and it doesn’t seem to have a notch.
The HTC U12 Plus is expected to have a 6-inch LCD display with QHD+ resolution.
That said, the renders aren’t really too clear. As a result, it’s difficult to tell whether this is the prototype flagship we had seen at the 5G event in Taiwan earlier this year. It’s completely possible that HTC reworked some elements of the smartphone.
The HTC U12 Plus is expected to have a 6-inch LCD display with QHD+ resolution. The device should run on the Snapdragon 845 chipset and will likely have 6GB of RAM. On the battery front, the phone will likely have a 3420 mAh unit, while it is expected to have 12MP and 16MP cameras on the back, along with an 8MP camera on the front. The phone should sport Android Oreo out of the box, although HTC has been known to be amongst the first to launch devices with newer versions of Android.
