Apple has apparently been calling emergency services a lot, for the weirdest reason. According to MarketWatch, the company’s employees have been accidentally walking into the glass walls all around its new campus, Apple Park. Of course, the issues weren’t really serious and required no hospitalizations. The report says that most were just minor cuts on heads.
What’s ironical here is that the employees who walked into the walls, were apparently busy looking at their iPhones instead.
While the Apple Park Campus was opened last year, it seems many of Apple’s employees have been moving to it recently. Employees have apparently been using post-its to mark which where there are glass walls. However, the sticky notes were apparently removed “because they detracted from the building’s design”.
What’s ironical here is that the employees who walked into the walls, were apparently busy looking at their iPhones instead. And though this seems like a non-issue, Apple could ideally be vulnerable to workplace violations. That’s because laws in California need employees to be “protected against the hazard of walking through glass barriers or by conspicuous durable markings.”
