Google Pixel 2 XL Charges At Only 10.5W Despite An 18W Charger

Following a number of software related issues that could even end up with a class action lawsuit, Google is now faced with another controversy. Despite shipping an 18-watt USB Power Delivery 2.0 wall adapter, Google's latest Pixel smartphones don't actually make a full use of the charger.
According to a review by Nathan K on Google Plus, the Google Pixel 2 XL's wall adapter charges the phone only at 10.5W. It does start at about 15W, but it quickly switches down. The phone charges at this rate until about 50 minutes into the cycle, when it begins to gradually slow down until the very end of the cycle
