Uber's Northern Europe Leader Exits Shortly After London Ban Announcement

Jo Bertram, Uber's lead executive for its Northern Europe operations, is leaving the company. She's exiting within weeks of the announcement of an impending ban against the service in London, though her departure doesn't appear connected to that situation.
Rather than being the result of the London ban, Bertram says she is leaving to pursue an "exciting new opportunity." In an email to Uber employees, she also said this is the "right time" for Uber to "have a change of face" in Europe. With the way CEO Dara Khosrowshahi is speaking, it appears he agrees.
Bertram started working with the ride-hailing service four years ago as its General Manager for London. She then became the lead executive for all of Northern Europe.
