Thousands Of People Used Fake Adblock Plus Extension

Around 37,000 Google Chrome users accidentally installed and used a fake version of Adblock Plus. The fake software was listed on the Chrome Web Store, somehow initially getting around Google's filters. It has since been removed by Google, preventing further downloads.
The software's listing was essentially the same as the real Adblock Plus listing, though the title of the software was stylized as "AdBlock Plus." Google has been criticized for ever allowing the fraudulent listing on the store, which could have damaged the reputation of the actual developer.

Google allows 37,000 Chrome users to be tricked with a fake extension by fraudulent developer who clones popular name and spams keywords.
