The first voice assistant to arrive on the Sonos lineup is Amazon's Alexa. On Wednesday, Sonos introduced the assistant, with the software becoming available as a beta today. You'll now be able to control your home's wireless speakers with your voice and you can also issue commands through other Alexa devices, like the Echo.
This update is headed to the US, UK, and Germany. Sonos and Amazon have been working "day and night" to bring these capabilities to the Sonos lineup.
At an event in New York, an Amazon representative noted music is "one of the most useful features with Alexa."
