The legal battle between Qualcomm and Apple is growing with a new lawsuit filed in China, which Qualcomm hopes will lead to the iPhone being banned in the region. Bloomberg reports the patent-related lawsuit could lead to iPhone manufacturing and sales being blocked.
Qualcomm alleges Apple has violated some of its patents. Indeed, the US' International Trade Commission said in the summer that it was investigating alleged patent violation by the tech company.
Apple has its own $1 billion lawsuits against Qualcomm that's been underway since January.
Since the majority of Apple manufacturing occurs in China, this lawsuit has the potential to be devastating, even if that chance is pretty small.
