Alphabet Project Wing Delivering Burritos With Drones In Australia

Alphabet's Project Wing, a drone delivery initiative under Alphabet's X lab, is expanding its tests in Australia with two new partnerships. These partnerships with Guzman y Gomez (a Mexican food chain) and Chemist Warehouse (a pharmacy chain) will see drones deliver third-party items to individual homes for the first time.
Project Wing has an easier time completing tests in Australia than the US due to regulatory differences.
James Burgess, one of the project's leaders, published a post on Medium about Project Wing's progression towards the widespread use of drone deliveries.
The new partnerships will help Alphabet figure out how businesses can easily load items of various shapes and sizes onto drones for fulfillment.
