It looks like Microsoft wasn't ready for the new iPhones. As Apple started shipping its new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus smartphones, users have started reporting that Skype is not working on new devices. It is unknown why the app crashes, but the mysterious bug will be fixed soon.
Microsoft confirmed that they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix, which will be delivered in the form of maintenance update very soon.
