Samsung Could Rush Galaxy S9 Release

To be more competitive with Apple, Samsung could be planning to rush the release of its Galaxy S9 flagship, which would go up against the iPhone 8. According to The Investor, the product's AMOLED display will start shipping in November. Since it takes a couple months from that point to put together a device, a launch may occur in January.
Samsung has sped up smartphone launches in the past in order to be more competitive. It appears it'll order the AMOLED displays and launch the product a couple months earlier than people had anticipated. With the Galaxy S8, it ordered the displays in January 2017 and launched the phone in March.
