Face ID Sensors Contributing To iPhone X Production Delays

More manufacturing issues with the iPhone X are going to further limit the device's availability even compared to the already anticipated limited availability for its November launch. The Wall Street Journal reports the handset's Face ID sensors are responsible for the issue.
According to the report, the Face ID sensor has two parts, a Romeo half, and a Juliet half. The Romeo module maps face by projecting infrared dots, while the Juliet module reads the pattern that's created.
Apple is running into supply problems because production yields have been low for the Romeo pieces, leading to a bottleneck in the supply chain.
