Apple Watch Series 3 Now Official, Features Same Design And Cellular Connectivity

The first major announcement from Apple today was the new smartwatch called Apple Watch Series 3. The biggest improvement over the last generation is the addition of 4G LTE connectivity, which allows users to do much more on the watch without needing to have a phone around.
Phone calls are also supported and the watch uses the number as your iPhone. Since nanoSIMs are still too big for smartwatches, Apple included an electronic SIM card inside for connectivity. The watch is powered by an all-new dual-core processor that has up to 70% more performance compared to last-gen model and new Apple W2 chip for Bluetooth and Connectivity that is 50% more power efficient.
The new Apple watchOS 4 comes with features for swimmers, new health tracking functions, enhancements to the heart rate app, Siri recommendations, new watch faces and more.
Apple Watch Series 3 with cellular connectivity costs $399, while the model without cellular costs $329. It will be available for pre-order on September 15 and start shipping a week later, on September 22.
