YouTube To Restrict Videos That Don't Fully Violate Policies

Certain videos that are within the bounds of YouTube's guidelines are still going to be restricted by the video site. The company has released an update about its efforts to combat extremism on the platform. Videos that don't violate the guidelines yet still have "controversial religious or supremacist content" will lose key features.
Those videos aren't going to support comments or likes. They also won't appear in the suggested videos section, thereby significantly reducing exposure. And monetization support will continue to be absent.
This policy only applies to videos that fall in a gray area on YouTube. Other content is often immediately flagged, reviewed by AI, and then handed to humans for removal.
