As we are closing on the official announcement of Apple's all-new iPhone 8, more details are surfacing online. Today, an image from the Foxconn factory has emerged online, showing the rear side of the iPhone 8. The image is taken right before the phone is packed and transferred to another production line.
The sad news is that the new iPhone 8 will have a rear Touch ID, just like Galaxy S8 and many other flagship phones.
In another report, Foxconn's vice-president Luo Zhongsheng posted on social networking site Weibo that the iPhone 8 won't be cheap. The post has since been removed, but he said that OLED display is the main reason, as the yield of OLED panels with a special design is only 60 percent, increasing already expensive manufacturing costs.
