A group of 28 app developers in China have run to the Chinese authorities alleging antitrust violations by Apple. Their complaint accuses the company of monopolistic behavior, such as "charging excessive fees for in-app purchases" and not providing details about why apps are removed.
The complaint also says local developers in China are disadvantaged since queries aren't responded to in Chinese.
Two authorities within the country have received the complaint, the National Development and Reform Commission and the State Administration for Industry & Commerce. Lin Wei, the lawyer in the case, believes the best path forward is to get regulators involved.
