Google's main app on Android and iOS now comes with a personalized feed feature that'll surface content Google considers meaningful based on your search history and followed topics. The feed is taking over the space below the app's search field, which used to contain Google Now.
Updates from the feed will appear in a tab called "updates." And the core feed has a set of Now-like cards containing info and content related to your apparent interests.
Google brought the feed to Android as a preview in December 2016.
When carrying out searches in the app, you'll see a "follow" option alongside some of the results. Following something tunes Google's algorithm for the feed. You can also adjust your feed by clicking on results and picking "done with this story."
