Fitbit Smartwatch Won't Support 4G LTE

The long-rumoured Fitbit smartwatch will finally be announced in not too distant future and even the company's CEO James Park started revealing more information about it. He said that the phone is going to be different compared to the Gear S3 and the Huawei Watch 2.
What he meant is that the watch won't feature standalone cellular connectivity, meaning for tasks that require internet, you will either need a smartphone that will be paired with the watch or use Wi-Fi. The reason for this decision is because adding cellular connectivity would force the company to make significant trade-offs in other categories, while having big impact on the battery life.
