Apple's 2017 iPhone Production Slows Down Due To Limited NAND Flash Supply

It looks like recent production issues at a Micron plant, as well as low yields of 2D NAND production from SK Hynix and Toshiba, have slowed down production of Apple's new flagship smartphones. Reportedly, the Cupertino company could be hit by a 30 percent shortage in the supply of storage capacity chips.
The report also mentions that Apple has turned to Samsung in an effort to secure more chips, since Samsung has relatively stable yield rates for 3D NAND technology and has scaled up its output of 3D NAND chips.
