Nextbit was recently purchased by Razer, the popular manufacturer of desktop gaming peripherals, and many were pessimistic about future software updates. Starting today, the company has released a major software update, bringing the operating system to latest Android 7.1.1 version.
Although the June security update is already available, the update only includes April 1, 2017 Android security update. The company also promised that it will continue to provide software updates and security patches through February 2018. This means that we'll see a few minor security updates until early next year.
