Honda Planning To Launch Autonomous Vehicle By 2025

Honda is placing more focus on autonomous vehicle development and it believes it'll be able to offer a model by 2025, a somewhat later date than other companies have proposed. CEO Takahiro Hachigo announced the 2025 target during a media event in Japan.
By that year, the company intends to have vehicles that are capable of nearly always driving themselves. It's specifically aiming for SAE Level 4, which includes autonomous driving in the majority of cases. Humans will only need to take over in cases like bad weather.
Honda previously revealed it was targeting SAE 3 by 2020.
It's currently testing its technology at GoMentum Station, an autonomous vehicle testing facility.
