A successor to the last year's Redmi 3S is now official. Xiaomi has announced today its latest budget smartphone that is expected to go on sale in India on May 23 on Mi.com and Amazon India. The Redmi 4 is priced at INR 6,999, 8,999 and 10,999 for the 2/16 GB, 3/32 GB, and 4/64 GB variants, respectively.
The main difference between the new model and its predecessor is in design. The new model features cleaner design that is slimmer and has tapered edges. In terms of specifications, the two phones are pretty much the same. There is a 5-inch 720p display, Snapdragon 435 SoC, a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 4,100 mAh battery.
