NVIDIA Announces Max-Q Designs For Notebooks

High-end gaming laptops are very powerful nowadays, but compared to ultrabooks, they are extremely thick and heavy, and very often loud or have problems with heat. To put an end to that, NVIDIA has just officially announced the rumored "low-power Pascal".
Details are still scarce, but future notebooks sporting the new Max-Q GPU will target mobile gaming markets. Such notebooks will be lighter and thinner, but more powerful as well than previous gaming notebooks. NVIDIA put focus on four things - powerful GPU at peak efficiency, optimal gaming settings, advanced thermal solutions and next-gen regulator efficiency.
Max-Q laptops will be equipped with GeForce GTX 1080, 1070 and 1060 GPUs and be available starting June 27 from the world's leading laptop companies and system builders.
