Garmin Introduces Quatix 5, A Smartwatch Made For Sea

The popular wearable company Garmin has now announced its next-generation smartwatch specifically designed for life on the water. The new marine GPS smartwatch offers great boat connectivity with features such autopilot control, remote multifunction display, waypoint marking, data streaming and sailracing assistance.
Garmin Quatix 5 also includes built-in activity profiles for land and water sports such as running, hiking, biking, swimming, rowing, and paddle boarding and supports smart notifications and Garmin Elevate wrist heart rate technology.
Design-wise, the watch measures at 47 mm and features a stainless steel bezel, buttons and rear case that is "more compact than previous models." The QuickFit bands are available in metal, leather or silicone so users can customize watchband without tools.
Garmin Quatix 5 with scratch-resistant Sapphire display costs $849, while the non-sapphire model sells for $599.
