pple May Return To Supporting MagSafe Power Cords

MagSafe could make a return with Apple's future MacBooks. A patent from the company for a "magnetic adapter" that uses the MagSafe design has been uncovered. It would enable people to attach a MagSafe cord to an adapter that's utilizing a USB-C port.
The magnetic power cord system has been included with Apple devices for years and remains a highly popular feature. However, Apple decided to replace it with USB-C on its last MacBook and MacBook Pro models.
With the availability of an adapter, the return of MagSafe may be coming.
The adapter would function such that pulling on a cord detaches it from the adapter, not from the laptop itself.
