As promised a few days ago, Google has officially unveiled today a new version of Google Earth. The new version was two years in the making and is now available on the web. As for the Android version of the app, it is rolling out on Google Play so be patient.
The redesigned version brings a few new features, such as Knowledge Graph, the technology that brings you all of the information. Google is also emphasizing storytelling with a feature called Voyager, which is basically a magazine-style page for guided tours and curated content. There is also a feature called "I'm feeling lucky" that points you to a random location.
The biggest improvement is the addition of a 3D view, which allows you to explore any location in rich 3D detail
