Uber Autonomous Vehicles Ran 6 Stoplights In California

While Uber's self-driving vehicles were operational in California, it appears they broke the law multiple times. According to documents reviewed by the New York Times, the company's autonomous vehicles went through stoplights on six occasions.
During the fight between Uber and the California DMV, a video appeared of an autonomous Uber vehicle seemingly going through a stoplight. That incident was dismissed, with the company stating it occurred due to human error.
These new documents, which detail six total cases of vehicles running stoplights, suggest there may indeed have been problems with its self-driving tech and the drivers behind the wheel weren't behaving responsibly.
All told, the mapping programs used by Uber's cars failed to recognize six traffic lights in the San Francisco area,- NYT
