Tesla Faces Sexual Harassment Claims, Denies Them

Tesla has been facing a sexual harassment lawsuit from a female engineer, Aj Vandermeyden, since 2016. Now the employee behind the suit has gone public. She spoke with The Guardian in the wake of sexual harassment allegations against Uber.
Part way through her employment, Vandermeyden began facing "unwanted and pervasive harassment" from male staff. The inappropriate actions included "inappropriate language, whistling, and cat calls."
She says she was paid less than her male colleagues despite providing work "equal in skill, effort, and responsibility."
Tesla has responded, stating that an independent review of her file doesn't back up her claims.
After an exhaustive review of the facts, the independent investigator determined that Ms. Vandermeyden's 'claims of gender discrimination, harassment, and retaliation have not been substantiated. Without this context, the story presented in the original article is misleading.- Tesla
