Oculus CTO John Carmack Sues ZeniMax For $22.5M

John Carmack, CTO of Facebook's Oculus, has filed a lawsuit against his former employer, ZeniMax. He alleges the company still hasn't paid him all of his earnings from ZeniMax's acquisition of id Software, which was previously run by Carmack.
id Software, known for Doom and Quake, was sold to ZeniMax in 2009.
Carmack's lawsuit against the company comes after ZeniMax successfully sued Oculus. A $500 million judgement against Oculus was ordered in February 2017.
This lawsuit against ZeniMax says the company never paid Carmack everything he was owed from the acquisition because of "a series of allegations regarding claimed violations of Mr. Carmack's Employment Agreement."
