Twitter Bringing 'Long Overdue' Anti-Harassment Changes This Week

Twitter has been signalling its commitment to addressing abuse on the network for many months and it's about to roll out "long overdue" fixes that'll address some of the network's perceived problems. Ed Ho, VP of engineering, says tweaks to the mute and block functions will be made "in the days ahead."
Along with those updates, there will be changes made to keep "repeat offenders from creating new accounts."
Twitter has been "moving with more urgency than ever" to address abuse and harassment issues. It is therefore trying to introduce fixes in "days and hours not weeks and months."
Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter, says the company will be "taking a completely new approach to abuse."
