Several last-gen smartwatches have been confirmed that the latest Andorid Wear 2.0 platform won't be available for them, including Samsung Gear Live, the original Moto 360, LG G Watch and Sony Smartwatch 3. Two days ago, users of Sony's Smartwatch 3 have started a petition, urging Sony to develop Android Wear 2.0 build for the smartwatch.
The petition has already 1,500 supporters and without doubt, more people will sign the petition once they learn about it. Hopefully this will force Sony to develop the firmware and give SmartWatch 3 owners what they want, as the wearable is powerful enough to run the new OS.
