Some customers who still haven't received their Pixel handset from Verizon can get a free Daydream View headset from the carrier. Verizon is offering the virtual reality device to make up for shipment delays. The View normally costs $80.
Verizon says this offer is only available for a "certain subset" of its customers. Those are the ones who've experienced the greatest delay. It says the headset is a "thank you" to customers for not cancelling their orders.
The Pixel is currently being shipped out with a "rolling inventory," so units are headed to customers as soon as they're available.
Google recently noted that orders of the Pixel and Pixel XL are "exceeding expectations."
