Oppo Becomes China's Top Smartphone Maker, Apple Sales Decline

China's most popular smartphone brand is now Oppo. IDC reports the company more than doubled shipment volumes over 2015, allowing it to beat other top companies like Xiaomi and Huawei. It also came out ahead of Apple, which reported its first annual decline in the market.
The top five companies have seen their share of the market grow from 46% in 2015 to 57% last year.
BBK owns two of the top five smartphone makers, Oppo and Vivo. It has been aggressively marketing their devices in China, India, and Southeast Asia.
