iPhone 8 Production Reportedly Beginning Early This Year

Production of the next iPhone is starting earlier than usual this year, reports BlueFin Research Partners. Analysts with the group say Apple has pushed up the iPhone 8's production timeline, but there's no indication the expected release date has changed.
Apple will also reduce production of the iPhone SE, iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus ahead of the iPhone 8's introduction later in 2017.
BlueFin's sources point to a "300% increase in iPhone 8/X builds in the June quarter, now sitting at 9M. As a result, overall June quarter builds have increased from 45M to 48M, with the sharp increase in iPhone 8 offset somewhat by modest declines in legacy models."
Builds of the next generation typically begin in the September quarter.
