Apple May Continue Trying To Sell Refurbished iPhones In India

Apple has failed to gain approval to sell refurbished iPhones in India, but it still wants to open up that business opportunity. Bloomberg reports Apple requested during negotiations with the government the ability to import iPhones so that they can be refurbished and sold.
The option of selling refurbished mobile devices is one of multiple requests Apple made in exchange for using a new manufacturing facility in the country.
Apple noted during the negotiations that "it will have the manufacturing infrastructure needed to make them compliant with quality standards."
When the company attempted to sell used iPhones in the country last year, the government rejected Apple's proposal.
