Sony Opens Registrations For 'Major' PS4 Update

The next "major" software update for the PS4, version 4.5, has been confirmed and registrations for the beta test are being taken. This will be the first update of its kind since 4.00 was released in September 2016.
Sony hasn't detailed version 4.5 or mentioned a release date. It has only said the update includes "improvements and new features."
Users can register with their PSN ID here as long as they're over the age of 18. Not everyone will be accepted.
The beta is scheduled to begin in February, at which point registrations will no longer be accepted.
