SK Hynix Launches 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM Chip, Tipped To Be Used By Samsung In Galaxy S8

LeEco was rumoured to be the first company to release a phone that packs 8 GB of RAM, but ASUS made the move and announced the world's first 8 GB phone at CES 2017, the ZenFone AR. This is only the beginning as more flagship devices will pack 8 GB, and reportedly Galaxy S8 is one of them.
SK Hynix has now launched a new 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM chip use 30% less space than current LPDDR4 mobile chips, and is also 20% more power efficient. The new chip is expected to be used in Galaxy S8 and while some reports suggest that iPhone 8 will use the same chip, it is a bit hard to believe that Apple will go this route.
