Almost every flagship Android smartphone includes some kind of wireless charging technology, and it is safe to assume that in 2017, there won't be flagship smartphone without wireless charging. This also includes Apple's new iPhone, which is once again rumoured to come with support for wireless charging.
According to cited "industry sources", Lite-On Semi will provide Apple with half of the required GPP bridge rectifiers, which are needed to make wireless charging work. We have heard that Apple won't make its own wireless charges, but that is not confirmed, but it doesn't really matter as long as the new iPhones get the fast charging technology.
