China is one of the most important markets for smartphone manufacturers and for the last five years, Apple was had the best selling smartphone in the country. However, according to the latest research, the dominating era is finished and the Cupertino company was dethroned by Oppo.
The new best selling smartphone in China is the Oppo R9, with 17 million units sold. That is 5 million units more than the units of iPhone 6s sold in 2016. Another bad news for Apple is that Oppo, Vivo and Huawei recorded an increase in shipments by 109%, 78%, and 21% respectively, while Apple's shipments declined by 21%.
