HTC Might Use Google Assistant In Future Phones

There are several virtual assistants on the market from which smartphone manufacturers can choose from. Shortly after we heard that LG is considering switching from Amazon's Alexa to Google Assistant, another company is thinking about making the same move.
HTC's smartphone chief Chialin Chang said they are working with multiple things and that Google wants HTC to use Google Assistant. However, the question is what about HTC's own AI assistant, the Sense Companion. It is unlikely that HTC will drop its own assistant that soon, but it could use Google's knowledge to develop better solution.
"At some point it will come [to our phones] when its ready. Google wants HTC to do Google Assistant so it can spread to get big data and allow them many things. They want us to incorporate the Assistant in a standard, prominent way. We will use that, but that's on the cloud. Beyond that, there's a lot of device information that can be helpful to a consumer which we want to provide [with our AI]," said Chialin Chang.
