Blizzard's Heroes of the Dorm tournament is leaving ESPN and will be streamed exclusively through Facebook Live. The eSports event for Heroes of the Storm features college teams from the United States and Canada. Those teams compete in order to potentially win free tuition.
Heroes of the Dorm was broadcast for two years on ESPN. Now all of the matches will be shown on Facebook.
Blizzard says the tournament's appearance on the social network "enhances" the experience since more interaction with fans is enabled and clips can be shared.
The 2015 event didn't receive many viewers and ESPN may have dropped the tournament due to low viewership last year.
